Unique in using students

To the best of my knowledge, WMUB is unique as a public radio station, at least in this area, in that college students can be heard on the air and they can host an actual show, such as Almost Monday. My son Glenn has worked at the radio station for 4 years, starting as a first year student, doing a wide variety of jobs such as the voice of the Metro traffic report sponsors and close to 25 shows for Almost Monday. It is undoubtedly one of the most rewarding things he has done and I am confident he will continue to be involved with public radio after graduating from Miami. I believe Miami needs to not only continue but promote this student involvement in WMUB. Miami should be proud to be the only university in southwest Ohio that supports a public radio station as a truly educational resource.
